Teachers
Mr. Hamilton (Language Arts)
I know you take great pride in your child’s education, and I am delighted to be a part of it here at Brownsburg East Middle School. Albert Einstein once said, “It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.” I look forward to stepping up to this challenge and watching your child grow as a learner. Just a few other trifling things: I grew up in Wabash (Wabash County), IN and then attended the University of Indianapolis. I enjoy the arts, outdoors, coaching, and most of all, spending time with my wife and three children.
Mrs. Linville (Science)
Michelle Linville graduated from IU Bloomington and has lived in Brownsburg for the last 21 years. She is currently in her 20th year of teaching. She is getting old! She taught science at Decatur Middle School for 11 years, was a flight director at the Brownsburg Challenger Learning Center for 5 years and has been teaching 7th grade science here at East Middle School for 4 years. She is active in her family life and enjoys country line dancing, collecting Garfield and space memorabilia, relaxing by her pool and reading.
Mrs. Eakle (Math)
My name is Kelly Eakle. I am the Math and Pre-Algebra teacher for Team 7-1 Champions. I am married and have a 9 year old son who goes to Reagan Elementary. I grew up in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Columbus, Indiana when I was 16 years old. I graduated from Columbus East High School and Indiana University. This is the start of my 14th year of teaching. This is my second year here at East Middle School. Before accepting a job in Brownsburg last year, I taught 6th and 7th grade Math for Indianapolis Public Schools. I’m excited to be on Team 7-1 Champions and look forward to working with our amazing students!
Mrs. Behringer (Global Studies) www.kbehringer.weebly.com
I am always looking for a new adventure and love being a part of the learning journey with my students! I have a B.A. in Dance and a B.A. in French from at Butler University. More recently, I graduated from Western Governor's University with my B.A. in Special Education. Before becoming a teacher, I owned a music store and school in Avon, IN. I have also been a flight attendant, safety compliance specialist, logistics scheduler, preschool teacher, a professional ballet dancer as well as a choreographer. Teaching middle school is my best adventure yet! I love traveling with my husband and 2 sons, exercise, being outdoors and knitting. Check out my website linked above for classroom information, study guides and activities.
Mr.Lesko
This is my 14th year teaching in Brownsburg and my 15th year of teaching overall. I earned my undergraduate degree from Indiana State and my graduate degree from Ball State. My wife is also in education, and she is an administrator in another corporation. Our daughter, Harper, has recently started kindergarten at Brown Elementary, and it is interesting getting to view education from the lens of a parent. I’m a huge sports fan, and I truly enjoy getting to know all students and what makes them tick.
